One wonderful thing about being a consultant with CTMH is getting a chance to preview and purchase specials or new items in advance! So, I went on a big shopping spree and brought almost all of the new Seasonal Expressions 2 catalog items. You can too starting today! There's the cutest paper packs and goodies to coordinate with it. I had have to have this stamp set Tickled Pink and the die cuts to go with it! Here's what the stamp set looks like

Now on to the project!

I used a 6 1/2 x 5 card base. For my first card, I cut the pink and gold foil paper at 2x 6 1/2 and the white with gold foil paper at 3x6 1/2. I  stamped tickled pink in cotton candy ctmh ink and i die cut the flamengo in white daisy paper. I stamped the flamengo in pixie and the wing in cotton candy. The legs were stamped in slate and the beak in honey. 

For the second card, i wanted to show off the pretty patterned papers in this set. I cut the floral and the pink ombre papers at 2 x 6 1/2 and the polka dot at 1 x 6 inches. The green at the bottom is from a zip strip. I stamped the sentiment on the back side of ombre scrap. I put the new rose gold foil tape along the top and bottom of the sentiment piece and around one of the flamengos neck as a scarf.

elephant glimmer mist get well card

Happy New Year! I made a video of a colorful get well soon card that I made for my cousin. I just sprayed some bubblegum, fully purple, and a little bit of black cherry glimmer mist on to a card and then sprayed a few mists of pearl glimmer mist over that. Unfortunately the glimmer mist warped my card really bad. I will try it out on watercolor paper and get back to you. I just cut the back card panel off and added washi tape to the bottom. I mounted that to another blank card and added an elephant from the CTMH Georgie complements to the card. I stamped for a wonderful cousin from the CTMH stamp set called For family . The inside of the card says hope you feel better soon. I just hand wrote it.  I used the CTMH stamp set called Baby zoo to stamp the circles and elephant on the envelope in CTMH Slate ink and Pixie ink. I used yellow wink of Stella near the elephants ear. This card design would be cute for a birthday, baby shower, or a thank you card. I think this elephant is ageless too. I just love the Georgie paper pack. I will be using it for everything but a baby card. I hope you enjoy the video. If you have any tips ortrickson glimmer mist, please let me know.

Christmas cards and gifts I have made this year

Merry Christmas and happy holidays! I was inspired this year to make different Christmas cards to abunch of people this year. There are a few I wanted to make but time prevented. I have not received a single homemade card, but I have received some very beautiful cards that I have hung on our door. I even made a few cards for my husbands paper route. I used mainly Close to MyHeart supplies with the exception of the sushi, penguin, llama, and winter scene stamps. I got those except for winter scene at lawn fawn.com. The winter scene stamp was brought long ago at hobby lobby. I must say I was pleased when I got my lawn fawn order. There stamps are cute without being too cutesy. If you like that style, wait until new CTMH stamps are unveiled in January. I used my twin touch shinhanmarkers for all coloring ands usedliquidglasson almost every card as well. The only papers I used were lawn fawn 6x6pack andctmh white daisy card stock. The cards and envelopes are ctmhwhitedaisy. I used some cricut embossingfolderstoo. DIY sponger daubers

Greetings crafty friends! Today I am sharing with you a video I made to show how to make your own sponge daubers.

Here's a picture of a card I stamped the typewriter in black and then used my diy sponge dauber to put some CTMH Desert Sand ink inside the stamped image to give it both color and texture. You can see the difference because I only used the sponge dauber with ink on the left side of the typewriter image. Unfortunately, this stamp set is now retired, but I do have an extra one for purchase from me for $5 plus shipping. Please contact me, if you are interested. 

Here's the finished card! I think the sponging gives a vintages look to the card.

For Family CTMH stamp set and a monkey wobble card

Greetings crafty friends!  It has been a long time since I have been able to update my blog, but I have resolved the issues and I am back and ready to show you some fun projects I have been working on.  I used this new stamp set by CTMH called For Family. Here's a picture of this versatile stamp set!

There is so much you can do with this stamp set! I made a video of how I made a fun Monkey wobble birthday card. I thought the Happy Birthday stamp was from this stamp set. I just realized it was from the September promotion stamp set. I only used the brush stroke from this stamp set. Here is the video of my colorful card!

Damask Diva's Sangria Blog Hop

Welcome to another Damask Diva Blog hop!!!  The Sangria paper pack is just so pretty and makes for the perfect backdrop for anything fall! If you arrived from the fabulous Jenifer, you are in the right place.
I had so much fun making these cards today. I used a lot of new CTMH products!!!! I love how everything goes so well together. The chevron side of this paper would make a great all occasion card. Today I make a house warming card for friends that are moving back to TN. I think this stamp set, Housewarming Hello , would make a cute Christmas card with the little house.  Stay tuned for that. I usually don't get that far ahead, but today I made a few extra houses.

Here's my 1st card:

This second card was inspired by the gorgeous leaf pattern to this paper.

I used some colonial white paper and pounced ctmh pigment ink in ruby, pomegranate, poppy, saffron, gold rush, and fern then I took a ctmh paintbrush and blended so there was no gaps in the colors. I stamped fallen leaves stamp set in pomegranate, new England ivy, gold rush or ruby pigment ink. Then I set the colors with a hair dryer so they would not smear because pigment ink takes a long time to dry. I cut out each leaf then I decided to just arrange two leaves on my card and add some Poppy twine glued down with liquid glass. I added three of the darkest pink enamel gems. Here are my last two cards. This leaf patterned paper had this purple patterned paper on the other side. I just added the August Stamp of the month fir the Happy Birthday and some leaves.

 I finished the inside of the card with wavy blooms stamp I colored with Shinhan markers and cut out.

 My last card uses the other a side of the leaf pattern paper and the center strip is the other side of the chevron paper.

I colored in more Wavy blooms and stamped the August stamp of the month.

 I added two of the leaves I made to the inside with another colored wavy bloom on top.
