Welcome to the Damask Divas July Skylark Blog Hop!

My Name is Melissa Fromm and I'm an Independent Consultant with Close To My Heart. This is my first time hopping along with the rest of the Diva's! I am thrilled to be a part of the fun!!

If you came from the talented Lilian Yeh, http://theleafstudio.blogspot.com/2014/06/damask-divas-blog-hop-skylark.html you are in the right place. If you have jumped here and just discovered our blog hop, feel free to check the list at Damask Divas Blog to find the complete list of blog hop participants.
I have shown some links just as references just to show what I used as a new consulant, I found that easier to explain what I was talking about. Both cards were quick and super easy! They were both cut from CTMH Artiste Cricut Collection pg 59 for the first card and page 51 for the second. I used the Skylark workshop on the go for both along with coordinating Skylark stamp sets. I used the coordinating inks Lagoon, Desert Sand, and Slate. This is a gift card holder birthday card. Here is the outside. I love the resin flowers (stacked on one of the clipboard compliments) and the twist tie.The Live in the moment was stamped on pear paper that comes in the kit. I stamped it in Lagoon(one of my favorites!!)
Here is the top of the inside. I added the tag stamp and the teal shimmer strip
Here is the card opened up.
I added Dine well cut from another part of the same paper over believe since it's a gift card to Chilli's.
My second card is a small pop up card. Here is the outside.
Here is the inside
Please ignore the inky fingers!! It's only evidence of the fun!
I just love the great stamp sets that goes with skylark.
And the beautiful papers! It's my favorite paper pack right now! If they are your favorite, hurry to get them as they retire July 31st!

I hope that you enjoyed these cards featuring the Skylark Paper Pack!

Beachy banner and card

Here's the banner I made for coworkers birthday. She was leaving for the beach the next day. She is back now, but the banner is still up. I enjoy seeing it every time I walk by! I used CTMH Artiste and Artbooking collection. Except for the flip flops which were hand cut.
The Hawaiian shirt was actually a shirt card I cut in half. Here is the card I made her using palm tree from Artbooking.

The wave is from Artbooking also. I hand cut the sand. All cuts started out white and were colored with CTMH ink.

Sunflower

I made this card with the Close to My Heart Cricut collection Artiste as the card base and added sunflower and watering can from the Circut Sampler cartridge. Both the sun flower and watering can started out white and I colored them. Card mailed well. I sent it to my dad to thank me for his help tilling and planting my garden.

For the envelope, I stamped the retired CTMH Sunflower Garden stamp set.

This card was so easy and quick to make. I could make an entire pack in no time!

Paper cupcakes

I made this banner from the cricut lite cupcake cartridge. I have had it for many years now and this is the first time I have used it. Banner came together in a snap though. I did trace black along the letters to make them stand out, but that was it. Taped the cupcakes to some yarn from my stash. I did add a little glitter to  make the 30th stand out. Paper is from seasonal pack in my stash. Really pretty though. Leftover from another coworker banner I did earlier this month. I am my teams birthday decorator. I love it because I can make cute things or hardly anything since I have so much stuff.
For the bottom banner I used one I had brought. I need to make another, these are getting worn. I am also the birthday decor person for most of my family. I just love decorating for birthdays and events. Here is the coordinating card I made her.. The letters are from the inside of the cupcake banner and the cupcake is a stamp from the CTMH cricut collection. The very first one CTMH offered. I must say after seeing the catalog, I am blown away by all the neat stamp sets CTMH came up with to coordinate with there cricut collections. It really makes the cricut collections more and more versatile too! I am following my upline(CTMH supervisor) to see all the new stuff we are offering soon. I can't wait to order it and have demos for you. Book a gathering or and order and get a free mini petite stamp set.
Thank you for following my blog!

Lighthouse birthday card

Thank you for stopping by! Today I made a lighthouse birthday card for a dear friend. I found clip art off the internet, cut it out and colored it. Then I did a mixture of direct to paper swiping and sponging with close to my heart inks of slate, desert sand, ocean, lagoon,  leaf green, and crystal sky. After adhering the inked background to the card, I added on the lit house pieces.

Baby shower

I cut the card out with the circut sampler cartridge in white and colored it with coloring pencils. The confetti was all cut from the cricut sampler and close to my heart artiste cartridge. #cricut #imadeit

Hot air balloons using Artiste by Close to My Heart

I try to decorate my coworker's office for their birthdays every year. This year I remembered a close friend told me a long time ago that she always wanted to go up in a hot air balloon. Well, most are bright primary colors and she doesn't care for yellow or red. I asked her colors she did like and she said blues and ocean type colors. She prefers black, white, and beiges generally. Here is the card I made her and fathers dad card I am working on.
Here is the banner. I attached the balloons to a piece of yarn.

Thank you for stopping by! Artiste collection can be viewed/brought here http://frommtheheart.ctmh.com/Retail/Product.aspx?ItemID=6719&ci=85
