Remberence photo glass block

I waited to post this because it makes me sad even though I thought the glass block turned out beautiful. My friend asked me to make a glass block for a little girl that died. She had health problems and was always in a wheel chair. The picture she gave me of the little girl was in a wheelchair. I picture this brave, happy, little girl in heave running around, so I cut the wheel chair out of the picture. I printed the picture on cricut brand printable vinyl and it is so easy to cut out. The front for her name was from the CTMH Art Philiosophy Cricut cartridge. I used white tuele and I wiped a CTMH cotton candy ink pad all over it and added a spritz of water and dyed it pink. It was very easy to tie to the glass block and then I cut it off. I then tied another piece of tuele in a double knot and cut off all piece to make it fluffy and fuller. The scripture verse my friend picked out is beautiful:  Then young women will dance and be glad, young men and old as well. I will turn their mourning into gladness; I will give them comfort and joy. A perfect reminder to the parents that their little girl is dancing and playing in heaven.

Thank you for visiting my blog today! I am working on my detailed painting post. It will be cheery and upbeat!

Circut explore card, mini banner, and vinyl for tumbler

Happy Monday!! Well, this Monday didn't start off to a grand start, but I am rolling on! My internet was out all weekend, so I wasn't able to upload the one week nail photo for today. I realized this project never was posted, so I am sharing now! I have become a hoarder of tumblers from the Dollar Tree. I went there went they had these printed tumblers and brought them all and I also have a lot of each solid color of tumbler. I discovered a coworker's birthday was the following day, so I went home and cut out these triangles for the stamped banner, this Happy Birthday to you card, and Lavonne cut out of bright green vinyl. I folded the card, cut some backer paper for it out of the remains of the cut banner and adhered to the tiny details of the cut front. I carefully added the vinyl Lavonne to the printed tumbler. I stamped happy birthday on each triangle and then glued it to bakers twine to make a little banner to go on her work monitor. At the time this was done, we were all working side by side in one big room because of damage to our building. There was not much room for decorations. Someone else brought her balloons that we put behind the monitor and then this cheery banner on the monitor completed the decorations. She loved it and was touched by the card and tumbler. I may have talked her into getting an explore. She asked how I made the card. This one was free in Design Space subscription. This weekend was the only time in ayear the internet has gone down that I couldn't use my explore. I have a card that I saved for my Grandma T's birthday tomorrow. I must go back to cutting two cards each from Artfully Sent and building back my stock! I also have in some super cute CTMH stamps that I must share. I can at least use them without internet, but I can't post without the internet. It's been going up and down.On to the pictures!

I made these the end of Feb. I hope you enjoyed my chatty blog today! I will show my update of my Jamberry manicure as soon as I can. I also can't wait to show my step by step painting! Maybe I'll go by a friends house and get them uploaded.

Jamberry Nails how to

I hope you are having a great day! My jamicure as it is so called by Jamberry is still going strong. I will show an update on Monday to see where I am at on them. That will be one week. They only thing I have done is cut some of the nail just to smooth it out. The nail wraps need to be applied to clean, dry, free from oils nails. I read lots of tips and one thing everyone said is to make sure all the oil was completely off.
I wrote out all the steps start to finish written out:
Step 1: Wash your hands in blue regular dawn dish soap and dry them. This is the best at removing oils
Step 2: remove any poilsh from your nails with 100% actone
Step 3: Use the nail wrap strips to size the wrap that is slightly smaller than each nail. This is extremely important also as they wont stay down on any remaining cuticule or skin
Step 4: Use a cuticle stick to push back cuticles on all nails
Step 5: use the white Jamberry buffer or a nail filer to get off any ridges or shine to your nail and remove any spare curticle
Step 6: go over nails with either the Jamberry nail prep, rubbing alchol, or 100% actone
Step 7: Cut one side of the wraps in half based on the length of your nails. You wont to have a little over the tip, but not much.

Step 8: Lift wrap off of carrier sheet at the cut end with cuticle or orange stick. Then put the wrap by heat source, Jamberry mini heater, a hairdryer, or hot iron under it curls slighty(do not let your wrap touch the heat source)

Step 9: apply rounded end of the wrap at your cuticle and roll off stick, then smooth down wrap with your finger to make sure it is sealed.
Step 10: either put your finger by the jamberry mini heater or hair dryer for a few seconds, then rub down entire wrap again. You can also put your finger in a plastic baggy and rub a cotton bag filled with rice that has been placed on a hot iron, on your nail and rub the wrap down. This baggy techique works well for children or short nails. It helps too if your sensitive to the heat. Repeat on all nails.
Step 11: Last step! either use a file a 90 degree angle and file in a downward motion at the tip of the nail under the excess wrap comes off, or you can cut nail clippers and clip nail and wrap together until they are all the right length and excess wrap is removed.
You can follow with a bit of cuticle oil at around the cuticle if you wish.

Here's the office Jamberry video on application:
Here's a great video on tips and tricks:
I know the last girl has her own Jamberry store. I posted it because she was so helpful when I was learning. Since I am still learning as I go, I am waiting to make my offical how to video.

How long do they stay on?
They are to stay on up to 2 weeks on your fingers and I am currently doing the two week challenge on my mixed jamberry manicure. They are to stay on your toes up to 4 weeks. That time is based on average nail growth and my nails are so short. I forgot to take a picture of my toes but they look the same as Monday. I just did one accent nail on them. Monday I will be sure to show you a picture of the toes with the fingers.

How do you remove them?
The removal process is easy and will not damage your nails! Simply heat the wraps for 5-10 seconds and gently lift the edges. The wraps should slide off easily. If they’re still attached, try soaking them in nail polish remover for a few seconds. The remover will gently remove the adhesive and the wraps will separate from your nails without damaging your nails. Or you can heat them to lift the edges and put your nails in warm water and then use the cuticle stick to gently rub the wrap off.

I will video when I remove mine in a week and show the step by step process and my new manicure reveal at the end!!

How much do they cost?
Each sheet is $15 +tax. A sheet breaks down to 2 manicures and 2 pedicures with 8+ accent wraps. The best deal you can get is Buy 3, get 1 free! That’s $45 +tax for 4 sheets, a breakdown of $11.25 +tax per sheet. That’s less than $3 per manicure and/or pedicure! When you factor in that they last so much longer than a regular manicure, the savings stacks up!

I joined Jamberry!!

I was asked by a fellow crafter to join her team. She had had a series of unfortunate incidents and was just one team member away from getting an incentive reward from Jamberry. So, now I am in her same position and need a team member. I don't think I have posted on my blog that I am really into nail art. My favorite nail art was stamping, but I only had a few plates because the Konad stamping plates are expensive. Free hand nail painting was not something I was good at. Also I am a nail bitter. It started before I can remember and is usually due to stress. I could stop for awhile, but I am usually fussing with my nails and they would break. I figured Jamberry might help me get the nail art I wanted while letting my short nails grow. I read that they stay on two weeks. I have only had my consultant kit a few days and I was so busy over the weekend that I didn't get to put them on until yesterday. I have filmed an unboxing video but I was too busy to put it together and then my ipad didn't have enough room. So, I am currently uploading a CTMH haul video from a few days earlier last week. I also videoed the Taste of Summer paper and I want to put together a video of this months CTMH specials. I am still selling CTMH. Crafting and card making is my passion and CTMH carries the best products. I don't mention it enough, but I met a lot of amazing people thru joining CTMH. These women share my passion for CTMH and we have a support system. I waited to join Jamberry on my 1 year anniversary with CTMH as an independent consultant. I felt like maybe this would be another opportunity to meet more amazing people and have more friends. I have quite a few friends, but one can never have too many. I had not heard about Jamberry until that June when my CTMH upline was having an online party. I didn't really know if I'd like them so I didn't order. Jan 2015 my friend had them on at a wedding. Her nails were amazing looking with a Galaxy design. Galaxy design is rather messy so I had never tried it. She used a hair dryer to apply the wraps and it transformed her stubby nails into little master pieces.  I was impressed. It felt out of no where that 4/28, I was messaged and asked to be on this person's team that I had been following her blog, but never met or even tried the products before. Here I am on another leap of faith. My website is   http://www.tictactoes.jamberrynails.net/ I love the username my husband suggested, TicTacToes! So cute! My facebook business page is https://www.facebook.com/TicTacToes

I filmed avideo of my unboxing when my consultant kit came! Here it is:
I put on my Jamberry wraps Monday. I have played tennis, cracked open several pounds of crab legs, had yoga, and washed my hands 100 times with no change.

Each year on the first Saturday in May, it is National Scrapbook Day.
Also known as National Scrapbooking Day, on this day thousands of people get together all over the country to celebrate with scrapbooking parties and share their talents with others.
Scrapbooking dates back to the 15th century.
As per Wikipedia: “Scrapbooking is a method for preserving personal and family history in the form of a scrapbook. Typical memorabilia include photographs, printed media, and artwork. Scrapbook albums are often decorated and frequently contain extensive journaling. Scrapbooking is a widely practiced pastime in the United States.”
Scrapbooking is a hobby of preserving memories and at the same time it provides a strong social network.
”Scrappers”, as they are called, get together and scrapbook at each others homes, local scrapbook stores, scrapbooking conventions, retreat centers and have even gone on cruises.  Together they share tips and ideas and enjoy the social outlet.
Scrapbookers are often referred to as "Paper Hoarders".

Now on to my project!!!
Today's project was inspired by someone who said she doesn't scrapbook because she only has cats and a husband. I am a proud adoptive mother of two cats. This idea came to me and I didn't have time to get the picture printed of my fluffy black cat Emma. I'll add that picture later. Here's what I started with: CTMH Miracle scrapbooking kit from 2008 or 2009, textured teal card stock, cat subway art someone made me, and two adorable pictures. I used the CTMH Artbooking cricut cartridge and cut the teal heart frames at 4x6 and then I ued the CTMH Artfully Sent Cricut cartridge to cut the font for title Our Babies.
I used my atg gun to go around the back of the frame and then adhered to the photo.

Here's my completed page that I will frame with a 12x12 frame after I add a picture of our oldest cat when we brought the then baby Kuma home. He fit in the palm of my hand then! I went to visit my Grandma, a  few weeks after my Siamese cat died (that I had had since 7th or 8th grade).  I was outside and I heard what sounded like a child. I followed the sound and found this tiny kitten under a riding lawn mower at the neighbors house. He had white puffy fur and gray on his ears, face, legs, and tail. He turned out to be Siamese and a silly Siamese at that.

I added a little heart patterned paper to the bottom. This is something to make me happy every time I look at it. I enjoy being a mom to my cats. I am now thinking of making more 12 x12 layouts to frame and take pictures out of frames for it. I have a shelf going up my stairs that is way too crowded and nothing on the wall above. Just to show you how much my kitten has grown, here is him now:
Yes he is rather fat with a small head, but he's the baby and a total ham. Only cat I know that plays with stuffed animals. He has a football and took over a pink dolphin I had intended as a baby gift.
I usually don't scrapbook my cats or talk about them on my blog, but it does show that there's no rule to what you can do as long as your showing off something, some place, or someone you love! Each 0f us designed our projects separately and I just went thru and saw someone else did a layout of their cats! How awesome we were thinking the same thing. I can't wait to check out the rest! I usually don't scrapbook much. I make a lot of cards, home décor, favors, and I started making jewelry. I just started painting last night. I took pictures of each step with the hope of painting another copy and that you might be able to as well!  I also have a home décor project I am working on and more cards.
I wonder if I could paint a card to match the canvas?  I'd love it, if you would subscribe to my blog so you will follow back and see my next creations! Thank you so much for stopping by!
Next on the hop is Katy !

Here's the full line up for today!!!
