Birthday Bonzanza part 1

It was an exciting week last week!!!  One of my best friend's daughter had her first birthday. I had her this cute little owl birthday card that she enjoyed playign with. I used my Cricut Wild Card cartridge for the card and added the "Look whoo's" from the Close to My Heart Artbooking cartridge. I also used the Artbooking Cartridge to make the scrapbook pages for her mom to add the title and pictures.

My Grandma's birthday is today and I made her this birthday card. I cut the little bracket shape in half from a previous project for the front and used a bit of purple cardstock scrap that was left from the chevon overlay I had cut for one of the scrapbook pages. I am saving the negatives of the rick rack looking pieces for another project, stay tuned! For the inside of the card, I used CTMH Just because card kit stamps. I did alittle coloring on the stamps with makers to get the different colors. I also jazzed up the envelope with some old stamps I had been given. I think it'll be another hit!! 

She said since her birthday was on Monday, that we didn't need to go out to eat and be inconvienced since Mondays are such rough days.  That was so funny because she'd been retired so long. Well, no one could not celebrate her birthday. She's a very special lady. Here's a picture of us together. Probably her first selfie!
