Damask Divas Dreamin Big Blog Hop

No automatic alt text available.
Welcome to another Damask Divas Team Blog Hop!!! You should have arrived from Jenifer. Today we are featuring the fun Dreamin Big paper pack from Close to My Heart!!! I love the cute bugs in one of the patterns. It is perfect for a Spring themed layout or card. It would be cute for a boy themed layout too.
The flower print paper is perfect for Mother's Day cards!! Pair it with March's Stamp of the month and you are set. This is what the March stamp of the month looks like
Stamps
I will be using it to make lots of Mother's day cards for my vendor event next month too and of course my Mom and Grandmothers.  Right now though, I am busy in the land of Dr Who and other fandom's because this weekend is Congt. It is a convention celebrating Dr Who and I am a vendor this year! Dr Who for those that do not know is a British science fiction TV program. he doctor flies around in outer space in his blue space ship, the Tardis. The Tardis is camouflaged to look like a police box. This Dreamin Big paper pack has the perfect constellation print to be the background of my Dr Who card! From the one sheet of CTMH paper, I was able to get 8 pieces to use for cards. Here's two cards where the paper covers the entire card all but the thin white card base border:

I added a strip of the constellation paper to the inside of the birthday card. Thinking of you card is blank inside.

It is simple, yet looks stellar from that paper doing all the work. I added a Tardis that I cut from my Cricut Explore and stamped a greeting. Sometimes you just need to let the paper speak to you and go from there.  The CTMH paper pacifica is the perfect Tardis blue!! I used the pigment ink in Pacifica to stamp my greetings and then used clear embossing powder to heat emboss the greeting. It gave it a nice raised effect that unfortunately you can't see in the photos. I cut a piece of CTMH White Daisy paper to fit just behind the windows. The Tardis is popped up with foam tape and put on an angle to look like it is flying thru space. Thinking of you is form the current CTMH stamp set Heartfelt Thoughts and Happy Birthday is from the retired stamp set that was the Operation Smile stamp set 2015. The inside stamp "Birthdays are nature's way of telling us to eat more cake" is a retired hostess stamp set. I am still working on the rest of this card set. Finished card is an A2 aka 4 and 1/2 by 5 and 1/2. Tardis is 1.2 width and 2 inch height. Constellation paper cut 4 and 1/4 by 5 and 1/4.

You can get the Stamp of the month here along with the Dreamin Big paper pack and all other Close To My Heart goodies, if you don't have a consultant.  Thank you for stopping by!  I hope to be posting more updates soon.  I hope you see there's a lot of things you can do with these patterns. There's even a coordinating stamp and die set!! All CTMH die and stamp and die sets are 25% off this month only!  I hope you enjoy the rest of the hop! Your next stop is Danielle!!!
